I tried this dishwasher pod today using the express setting on my machine. This provided a 60-minute cycle. I had no expectations but was extremely pleased with the results. The cleaner pods left the stainless steel with a brilliant, streak-free shine. (see photo) There were no traces of lime or calcium deposits. And, upon opening the door, a lovely fresh, lemon fragrance wafted from the machine. The dish racks and door gasket also had a very clean appearance.I would recommend manually cleaning the filter before running this cleaning pod. And after the cleaning cycle, I ran a cloth around the rubber gaskets. This cleaning tablet seemed to loosen a lot of grime that clung to the gasket. A final wipe really pulled some grime from those areas.While this product seems to be a bit pricey, the package contains 12 pods. Although it's recommended to run these pods through a cleaning cycle on a monthly basis, I will use this only every 3-6 months. In our household, we really rinse dishes well before placing in the machine so I don't feel a monthly cleaning is necessary.If you water leaves lime or calcium build-up, this should work well. I was pleased to see this product was American-made.

They clean and deodorize the dishwasher; however, I can’t say whether they dissolve food as I don’t let food linger in my dishwasher. It had been quit a long time (too long) since I had cleaned my dishwasher. So for the first use, I ran my kitchen tap to get the hot water as close as possible to the dishwasher ready to go. I used 2 pods, one in the dispenser and the other in the bottom of tub. I ran the sanitize cycle without heated dry, I opened the dishwasher at the end of the cycle and allowed it to air dry. I saw a drastic but not complete improvement. As the instructions stated, I waited a week and then ran it again but the second time was a normal cycle and only 1 pod. Even more improvement, I may do the same again in another week just to see if it gets any better but honestly I'm happy with it at this point and might just go to monthly use. The instructions (see photo) say you can do it once weekly for 3 weeks when starting for really bad cases, which mine embarrassingly was. The product states that it's all natural, septic safe ingredients and is made in the USA.My dishwasher was in such bad shape for 2 reasons. First, just life getting in the way. Secondly, the cost of the cleaners I had used in the past was just too much, especially in today's economy. I'll use this product from now on, on a regular basis. The cost will end up being $1.25/mo and one bag will last a year if I stay on top of it this time. Yes, I think it's a great value and the citrus scent is nice too!

These dishwasher cleaning pods are so easy to use! I love to use this type of product once a month, so admittedly, my dishwasher is fairly clean already, but these pods made it squeaky clean! I noticed it smelled clean instead of musty. The cirrus scent is perfect for this type of product. It smelled great. A lot of the hard water crusties were gone after the cleaning cycle. There are 12 pods here, so if you do a pod once a month, it will last a year! The pods were so easy to use. I just put one in the detergent trap and ran a cycle. It is literally that easy. For barely over a dollar a month, I can keep my dishwasher clean for a year. Apparently this brand is rather eco friendly. I noticed the leaping bunny stamp and a usda bio based stamp on it. That will make me come back to this brand just as much as the performance. Highly recommend!

We have our first high-end dishwasher and are taking the extra effort to keep it well maintained. The Bosch requirements are somewhere around 60 days and using an expensive cleaner that has to be opened carefully and placed properly. Not a big deal, but not as easy as these pods. These are toss and go. They took the food stains off the stainless steel that normal washing doesn’t get to. They also don’t need a full maintenance cycle to use. I think these are a great intermittent option between the normal heavier, maintenance. They are scented, but only slightly so your washer does smell clean, but not with an excessive, overpowering smell.
